Introducing our new Charity of the Year 2025/26

The Will Garvey Trust Foundation was created by Will’s parents following his death by suicide at 20 years old. The foundation’s goal is that no-one else should experience suicide or the loss of a loved one to suicide. Their main aim is to prevent suicide through the development of early intervention projects and campaigns, working primarily with young people and the people who care for them, including families and friends.

Based in Ilkeston, some of the foundation’s initiatives include; Wellbeing Libraries in schools and colleges, running workshops with local sports clubs/youth groups and apprenticeship training organisations and a scheme for ‘Wellbeing packages’ to be presented to young people in need of support and guidance.

As an East Midlands based legal firm, Ellis-Fermor & Negus Solicitors are proud to announce The Will Garvey Trust Foundation as its Charity of the Year for 2025/26. Over the past 20+ years, the firm has been keen to play its part in raising the awareness of local charities and this year, Ellis-Fermor & Negus are keen to support the important work of The Will Garvey Trust Foundation to families in their community.

Founder, Joanna Garvey, comments, “The Will Garvey Trust Foundation is thrilled to have been chosen as the Charity of the Year. It means so much to us that local businesses are recognising the importance of our work and choosing to support our initiatives. We are determined to do the best we can, to the highest quality, for the people who need us most. Your support is invaluable.”

Ellis-Fermor & Negus Solicitors are looking forward to working with the team at The Will Garvey Trust Foundation and helping support those members of the local community who have experienced loss of this nature. If you would also like to become involved, please feel free to pop a donation into any of the collection boxes located in our Reception areas.

If anyone wishes to discuss any ideas for fundraising, please contact Joanna Shields.
