A Change of Name Deed is a legal document which is drawn up stating you are abandoning your previous name and will use your new name at all times, requiring all persons to address you by your new name only. This document must then be signed in both your old name and new name.
Anyone over the age of 16 can choose to change their name at any time, and for any reason, as long as their intent is not to defraud or deceive another person.
